Mass spectrometry-based proteomics to empower basic, translational and clinical research

The Amsterdam UMC Proteomics Core Resource (ProCoRe)

We offer comprehensive protein analysis using state-of-the-art nano-liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (MS). Moreover, we provide support in experimental design, advanced sample processing workflows, as well as bioinformatics and biostatistical data analysis and interpretation. We build on 20 years of proteomics research experience of the OncoProteomics Laboratory and its collaborators. Approaches developed in our cancer research to enable biomarker and drug target discovery are implemented in ProCoRe.

Overview

Comprehensive proteome analysis by MS offers a unique means to measure the biochemical impact of disease-related (post-)genomic abnormalities, and thereby can give unique insights into aberrant function and observed phenotype. Services, Publications

ProCoRe infrastructure enables identification, quantification and characterization of (phospho)proteins in complex biological samples. Our infrastructure includes various platforms for state-of-the-art nanoLC-MS/MS (TimsTOF-HT, QExactive HF) Equipment

Our main workhorse TimsTOF-HT operates 24/7 Equipment

We support research groups at Amsterdam UMC from multiple departments representing >30 PIs and external groups Services, Sample submission

National and international reputation in the area of clinical proteomics and cancer proteomics with > 200 scientific publications since the foundation of the OncoProteomics Laboratory in 2006 Publications

Founder and steering group member of the Netherlands Proteomics Platform, long-standing roles in the European Proteomics Association
